Over the summer, Wu Zhuoling and Kaishandao, two Sagittarian music friends living in Chengdu, embarked on a joint tour to Kristen’s homeland of New Zealand.
A Kiwese and Small Projects adventure, we spent a month exploring, hiking, camping, and performing at venues and festivals including Whammy Bar (Auckland), Tactile Society (Nelson), and both weekends of the return of Camp A Low Hum. The last show of the tour was Newtown Festival, where we performed a joint set under the name “Chengdu Sistahz” on the Gordon Place Stage. This is how Chengdu Sistahz came to be.
On Wed 12 June, we’ve found a chance to bring the Chengdu Sistahz experience home with this special sisters takeover at Clinic 诊所 – a new club nestled amidst the trees that opened under the Yongfeng Overpass while we were back in New Zealand.
Featuring Wu Zhuoling and Kaishandao all night long – this is an all-night DJ and live music performance for fans of electronic music, general vibes and chosen sisterhood.
吴卓玲 和 开山刀，这两位生活在成都，同为射手座的音乐人好友，在今年春天一起到开山刀的老家新西兰结伴巡演，她们一路游山玩水，徒步露营，并肩演出，收获了一段非常开心愉悦的时光。巡演的最后一站是惠灵顿的Newtown Festival，她们用“成都姐妹Chengdu Sistahz”的名号做了一个联合专场。海报照片来自某年她们一起庆祝的生日的party。这也正是Chengdu Sistahz的由来。
回到国内后，忙碌的生活让回忆和纪念变得异常珍贵。终于我们找到了一个机会，让“成都姐妹”之成都篇得以呈现。6月12日（周三），Chengdu Sistahz将接管Clinic诊所，从她们二人的DJ Sets开始，到各自最令人称道的Live Sets，再到意想不到的live B2B和DJ B2B……“成都姐妹”将带领“电子音乐饥渴症患者”进入一整晚的Wednesday’s Trip～
